The Philippines’ Department of Education (DepEd) has long recognized teachers’ pivotal role in shaping the nation’s youth. National Teachers’ Month (NTM) and World Teachers’ Day (WTD) are dedicated to acknowledging our teachers’ selfless dedication, loyal service, and unwavering commitment to our teachers. They are the silent heroes who nurture families, strengthen communities, and ultimately build our nation.
This celebration holds immense significance for Tagum Cooperative as it reflects the cooperative’s commitment to imparting financial literacy and wellness to students, a mission made possible through the steadfast support of teachers who passionately champion this cause.
This year, Tagum Cooperative, through the TC Youth Laboratory, has woven a tapestry of events as an embodiment of deep appreciation for the educators who shared the same aspiration as with the cooperatives. This series of events is a golden opportunity to join hands with these educational champions and express gratitude through their “4 A’s” – Appreciation, Admiration, Approval, and Attention.
In a heartfelt gesture, Tagum Cooperative has provided financial subsidies to thirty-eight (38) schools that have enthusiastically promoted the importance and discipline of savings. Furthermore, special tokens of appreciation was given to principals and coordinators who have demonstrated exceptional dedication by encouraging active participation among their students.
To infuse even more excitement into the celebration, Tagum Cooperative initiated a raffle draw dubbed “Teacher’s Day 2023: ‘Together 4 Teachers’ Raffle Extravaganza!” This initiative allows teachers to win valuable prizes, including ₱500.00, as a token of gratitude for their relentless dedication to education.
