Tagum Cooperative acknowledges that constructing a sustainable future necessitates a collective endeavor. The Search for Most Green Advocate acknowledges outstanding individuals within the Province of Davao Del Norte and the cooperative aims to spark a positive cascade of change throughout the community. TC firmly believes that even small actions can have a significant impact, and by highlighting the accomplishments of the most dedicated environmental advocates, they aspire to empower others to adopt similar measures for a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle.
This encourages locals to embrace their role as guardians of the environment. The initiative aims to foster a future where communities thrive in harmony with nature by recognizing the contributions of individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainability.
This initiative unfolded over a period of six months, starting in May and concluding in November of the current year, following a series of events. It started with project design, followed by the launch and distribution of invitations, hosting webinars, receiving entries from schools and barangays, presenting and endorsing final entries to the Board of Directors, conducting on-site inspections, and culminating in the awarding ceremony for the winners.
There were three overall categories, namely the youth category, young adult category, and “Gulayan sa Barangay.” A total of six entries, who participated in the culminating event on November 21, 2023, at TC Gymnasium in Tagum City, were successfully consolidated by the team.
The Nabunturan branch secured first place in the youth category, while the entry from Panabo emerged as winner in the young adult category. In the “Gulayan sa Barangay” category, Brgy. San Isidro claimed the top spot, followed by Brgy. Liboganon in second place, Brgy. Magugpo North in third place, and Brgy. Nueva Fuerza in fourth place.
