The people of Don Carlos Poblacion, Bukidnon, were greeted with a new wave of opportunities as the Tagum Cooperative inaugurated its 34th business center on January 18, 2025, situated at the Farli Alisoso Uy Building in Purok 1, Don Carlos Sur Poblacion.


The opening ceremony began with a heartfelt ceremonial blessing led by Rev. Fr. Ariel Toting, who emphasized the importance of giving and helping others.
“To give and to help is a blessing,” he said during the blessing, praying for the Tagum Cooperative to continue its focus on giving new opportunities and helping other people’s aspirations.
Following the blessing, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, symbolizing the official opening of the new office which was led by the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Juris D. Perez, who expressed her deep gratitude for the collective effort that made the opening a reality.
In addition, the event was attended by various local dignitaries and stakeholders, including Don Carlos Mayor Victoria L. Ontanillas-Pizarro, represented by Executive Secretary Roy De Asis, SFO1 Melbourne Y. Tusoy, FO2 Hermie B. Ombajin, and FO1 Millard J. Ladera III from the Don Carlos Fire Station, as they show their support in highlighting economic benefit and safety and well-being of the community.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Board, Rosamaria S. Torrejano, delivered her speech expressing her gratitude to everyone who helped bring the cooperative’s vision to life. She assured the community that Tagum Cooperative is committed to providing meaningful services to improve the lives of its members and the wider residents of Don Carlos.

Additionally, Executive Secretary De Asis also highlighted the growing infrastructure developments in Don Carlos, including the construction of the Bukidnon Airport and the inauguration of the TC business center, emphasizing that these new developments not only help towns grow but also support the people through employment.
Furthermore, SFO1 Melbourne Y. Tusoy ensured safety and compliance with the industry standards with the new development.
In addition, the Philippine National Police, represented by PMSgt. Nelson B. Sumagaysay assured that they would continue to provide security to ensure a safe and thriving business hub in Don Carlos.
