In this year’s Ownership Seminar, Tagum Cooperative, through its Education Committee, continued to strengthen its promotion and awareness campaign on maintaining good financial wellness for its members.

In collaboration with the TC Lecturers’ Group, the Education Committee designed a learning session centered around the theme “Unlocking Financial Success,” with the goal of inspiring and assisting members in achieving better financial stability.

Expert resource speakers from the TC Lecturers’ Group, Marketing and Membership Manager Ms. Joy Fritz Josol-Dumandan and Savings and Credit Group (SCG) Managers Jerry Cabanisas, Nathaniel Desierto, and Roberto Corilla Jr., shared valuable insights, tips, and inspiration to help participants improve their financial habits.

The training covered key topics such as boosting additional sources of income, steps for successful budgeting, building savings and emergency funds, managing debt, living a simple lifestyle, and understanding the impact of delinquency on the cooperative.

Alongside the resource speakers, TC Officers were actively present to answer questions during the open forum segment. Participants also enjoyed trivia quizzes and a raffle draw as part of the engaging activities.

The eight sessions, held from February 4 to 27, 2025, were successfully conducted and attended by almost 4,000 cooperative members.

Participants actively engaged in the seminar, taking a step forward toward achieving financial success and positioning Tagum Cooperative as a trusted financial partner in reaching personal goals.

The Ownership Seminar is part of the Member Development Program (MDP), a structured and ladderized educational initiative of the cooperative designed to provide ongoing education throughout members’ cooperative journey. This seminar is conducted annually and may feature different topics in the future. Leslie S. Canuto
