Tagum Cooperative’s excellent reputation goes beyond its financial services, with its roots in the culture of lifelong learning and experience of its renowned Lecturers Group.

Forty-three of these committed members gathered on February 1, 2025 through the Zoom platform, all in the relentless pursuit of member education and participation.
Essentially, this virtual meeting was a deliberate session to further enhance skills, hone strategies, and prepare for the critical Ownership Seminar 2025, with a calendar full of upcoming events.
Carefully selected for their knowledge and communication skills, these dedicated educators serve in roles more than speakers who serve vital conduits, bridging the cooperative’s vision with its members, while making access to vital information and training possible, and strengthening the cooperative as a group.
The agenda, ably prepared by the Communications and Education Department (CED), addressed the varied duties of the Lecturers Group.
Member of the Board of Directors Dir. Josephine L. Fadul set then the tone for the proceedings with an obligatory discussion on Netiquette and House Rules for speakers and moderators, thus ensuring that all interaction, whether online or face-to-face, would be a reflection and commitment to professionalism and respect.
Membership and Marketing Manager Joy Fritz Josol-Dumandan presented module on key points and learning objectives. The discussion likewise elicited strong arguments and exchange of ideas, as the lecturers discussed creative ways of presenting the content in an effective manner.

Apart from the Ownership Seminar 2025 module, the meeting covered important operational and structural issues. Communications and Education Manager Al Gee Omega C. Bula presented the definite schedule and roles of the Continuing Membership Education and the Ownership Seminar, thereby bringing clarity and coordination among the lecturers.
Following Ms. Bula’s presentation, Chief Executive Officer Juris D. Perez presented the Tagum Cooperative Organizational and CED Structure for 2025-2030, giving the lecturers a strategic overview so they could work in coordination with the long-term vision of the cooperative.
Lastly, Savings and Credit Manager Nathaniel Desierto presented important operational updates, keeping the group informed with the latest developments.
The 2025 first-ever Lecturers Group Meeting was a success in building cooperation, promoting the exchange of ideas, and resolving common issues in preparation for the Ownership Seminar and other future activities. Through the provision of a platform for lecturers to exchange necessary tasks and planning approaches, the meeting ensured that the group was adequately prepared to promote member retention and participation.
