Tagum Cooperative recently concluded its highly anticipated series of Regular District Meetings held from January 4 to January 25, 2025, across twenty-five 25 participating districts, which took place at respective branches and satellite offices. This significant event provided an essential platform for Members in Good Standing (MIGS) to actively participate in the democratic process of electing their District Representatives.

The meetings culminated on January 25, 2025, with an impressive total of 1,825 newly elected District Representatives (DRs), officially declared by the TC Election Committee.

These elected representatives will serve as the voice of their respective districts and play a crucial role in the upcoming 7th Annual Representative Assembly.

The Regular District Meetings serve as a transparent platform for Tagum Cooperative in terms of transparency, inclusivity, and participatory governance.

MIGS from each district were given the opportunity to cast their votes for candidates vying for the role of District Representative. This vital process ensures that every cooperative member has a say in shaping the direction and policies of the organization.

Prior to the elections, aspiring representatives underwent a selection process, where they formally submitted their intent to run for the position. Their candidacy signified their readiness to take on the responsibility of representing their districts and contributing to the growth and development of the cooperative.

With a total of 68,883 registered MIGS exercising their right to vote, the high voter turnout underscores the strong engagement and commitment of the cooperative’s members. The cooperative’s active membership and participation reflect the trust and confidence placed in its democratic framework and leadership selection process.

With the elections successfully concluded, all eyes are now set on the forthcoming 7th Annual Representative Assembly. Such significant gathering will bring together the newly elected representatives to discuss and deliberate on key cooperative policies, initiatives, and strategic plans for the future.
