[Tabang Paeskwela sa Tribu] Tagum Cooperative was honored to have been chosen as one of the distinguished partners by the National Commission for Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Davao Del Norte Provincial Office under the leadership of their Provincial Officer, Mr. Emmanuel A. Cacal, for their renowned “Tabang Paeskwela sa Tribu” project, held on July 29, 2024, Monday, at Banaog Elementary School in Sitio Banaog, Sto. Nino, Talaingod, Davao del Norte.
The LGU of Talaingod and FEBC 1197 DXFE AM Radio were also among the supporters of this program. Recipients of this year’s donation were students from kindergarten to grade 6 belonging to the Ata Manobo tribe. These students happily received school supplies, slippers, t-shirts, toys, hygiene kits, and food.
Mr. Daniel S. Aguinaldo, the Secretary of the Community and Development Committee, stated, “You must attend school and appreciate the value of education in order to achieve your dreams and ambitions in life.”
Tagum Cooperative has transcended limitations in propagating the 7th Cooperative Principle called the Concern for the Community. It stands as a stalwart advocate of social responsibility, shaping the future, and participating in community development.
