[Skills Development Training: Household Cleaning Formulation] Practical skills in making household cleaning products such as dishwashing liquid, detergent powder, and fabric conditioner were the highlight of a full-day training conducted on June 15, 2024, Saturday, at the Energy Park Gymnasium, Apokon, through the Community Development Department.
Sir Danny Aguinaldo, Secretary of the CDD, greeted the participants from the TC Livelihood Developmental Workers Association with a welcome address, followed by inspirational messages from Dir. Engr. Jose Alvic P. Suaybaguio, a BOD Member and the Vice-Chairperson of the CDD, and Dir. Rosamaria S. Torrejano, Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
Hands-on training was demonstrated by Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and a Professional Food Technologist Ms. Robelyn G. Pulido, guiding participants through the process of creating effective cleaning products. Participants were also encouraged to ask questions about the costs and benefits of homemade cleaning products.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Dir. Nenita R. Malbas, BOD Member and the Chairperson of the CDD, who imparted that this skills training would open new opportunities for income generation and self-improvement for solo parents.
