Love, commitment, and partnership took center stage as Tagum Cooperative, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, victoriously organized the World Café for Married Couples—a dynamic and insightful gathering dedicated to enriching the marital journey of its members with their spouses.

The event unfolded in two sessions: a face-to-face discussion on February 28, 2025, at Hotel Oazis, Butuan City, attended by ten (10) couples, followed by a virtual session on March 6, 2025, via Zoom, which engaged sixteen (16) couples in a meaningful online dialogue.
A flagship initiative of Tagum Cooperative, the World Café for Married Couples provides a safe and enriching space for carefully selected and recommended member-couples from various branches to engage in deep conversations about their married life, challenges, and aspirations. Regardless of how many years they have spent together, each couple is encouraged to reflect on their relationship and rate their emotional well-being across different aspects of their married life.
Guided by an experienced facilitator from TC GAD Trainers, couples engaged in a roundtable discussion that touched on significant themes, including family relations, financial stability, health and well-being, family spirituality, and quality time for recreation and bonding. Thought-provoking questions were presented to encourage open and heartfelt conversations, allowing couples to reflect on their shared journey and explore ways to nurture a stronger, more harmonious relationship.

While each couple’s experiences and challenges are unique, the event’s overarching goal remains the same: to promote the well-being of married couples, foster learning through shared experiences, and exchange practical strategies for managing finances, strengthening emotional connections, and deepening family bonds.
The World Café for Married Couples proved to be an enlightening experience, leaving attendees inspired and empowered to navigate their marital life with renewed understanding and more profound love.
With the continued support of Tagum Cooperative and its commitment to holistic member development, such initiatives impact the well-being of every member of the cooperative, thereby recognizing strong families as the foundation of a thriving community. Al Gee Omega C. Bula
