[TC Skills Training for TC Members] Reaffirming its unwavering resolve to elevate the entrepreneurial abilities of its members, Tagum Cooperative recently conducted the second batch of the Skills Training for TC Members, centering on creating products from fossilized cacao leaves and jewelry making. This training session was held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the TC Market Stall.
Guided by the expertise of Ms. Fe C. Britania, participants immersed themselves in the intricate process of preserving and transforming mature cacao leaves into versatile textiles. These materials can be creatively utilized in crafting an array of products, including lanterns, wallets, paper bags, placemats, and lamps.
The afternoon session, under the tutelage of Ms. Gina Ruiz, provided members with an opportunity to further explore their artistic potential by designing fashion jewelry, such as earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Ms. Ruiz underscored the creative freedom in jewelry making, noting that “beads can be threaded freehand, offering limitless possibilities in design.”
Tagum Cooperative remains resolute in its quest to furnish its members with indispensable skills that contribute to the growth of sustainable businesses. Through these training sessions, the cooperative seeks to embolden its members to improve their livelihoods and achieve long-term success.
