[Skills Development Training: Non-Accountant Bookkeeping] The Community and Development Department and its Committee of Tagum Cooperative continue to provide seminars and training for solo parents.
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the ComDev Department conducted a seminar on Non-Accountant Bookkeeping at Tagum Cooperative Function Hall. Ms. Janet T. Matuguinas, a former member of the TC Board of Directors and former Vice-Chairperson of the Community and Development Department Committee, served as the resource person.
Despite some unfamiliar basic accountancy terms and processes, Ms. Matuguinas applied real-life examples to guide the participants during the lecture and group activity on basic bookkeeping and income and expense calculation. Her lively and engaging explanations ensured that the participants remained attentive.
The seminar ended with the solo parents gaining the knowledge necessary to understand and practice recording their daily financial transactions.
